Activision has removed the TimTheTatMan Call of Duty bundle after the creator publically requested that the publisher remove it.
TimTheTatMan request came following the removal of the NICKMERCS Operator Bundle, which Activision removed from the Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone store following the creator’s tweet in response to a video that showed violence between anti and pro-LGBTQ+ demonstrators outside a school voting to recognise June as Pride Month. “They should leave little children alone. That’s the real issue,” Nickmercs said.
Soon after the tweet, the creator took to his live stream to respond to the backlash, saying that it wasn’t “his intention to piss anyone off”, but he won’t apologise. “I’m not apologising about the tweet because I don’t feel like it’s wrong, I’m going to stand by what I said, I’m not going to delete the tweet, I just want to make sure everyone understands exactly the point I was trying to make by tweeting my response”, he said.
“@NICKMERCS has been my friend for years- we went in getting our CoD operators together. It feels wrong for me to have mine and him no longer have his. In support of my friend, please remove the timthetatman bundle @CallofDuty,” tweeted TimTheTatMan.
In an Activision statement, provided to the popular Call of Duty Twitter account @CharlieINTEL, the publisher said, “At Tim’s request, we have removed the TimTheTatman operator bundle from the Modern Warfare II and the Warzone store.”
It’s unclear whether or not either bundle will make a reappearance in the Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone store.
