The release date for Silent Hill 2 has possibly been leaked.
In a store posting spotted by a keen-eyed ResetEra user, Silent Hill 2 seems to be launching on September 29, 2023. The date comes from Australian retailer Gorilla Gaming.
Built using Unreal Engine 5, Silent Hill 2 is a remake of the game of the same name that was first released back in 2001.
“Twenty-one years have passed since the release of Silent Hill 2 for PlayStation 2 and the big leap in technology allows us to be even closer โ at least in some aspects โ to how Team Silent would have desired their game to be back in 2001,” Sony said when the game was announced back in October. “Thanks to state-of-the-art motion capture sessions, we can deliver the best facial expressions in the seriesโ history and show a wide range of emotions even before a character speaks a single word.”
When launched, the game will be available for PlayStation 5 and PC. Insider Gaming has reached out about the leaked date and will post an update should a response be received.
